Michele Lee “Mikki” Brown, 75, of Fillmore, California, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 2, 2023, from Parkinson’s related causes. Mikki was born in Ames, Iowa to Robert and Marie Whiteside. She attended Ventura High School and graduated in 1966.
Mikki battled Parkinson’s for 17 years. She was a fun loving and caring wife, mother, sister and friend who faced life honestly with dignity and courage. Mikki and Bob fought valiantly to maintain normalcy in her life. She never complained or asked “why me?”
She loved to travel around the United States with Bob and close friends in their motorhome and quite often would stay out at the Rincon State Beach. She was extremely creative and enjoyed making beautiful silk floral arrangements for friends and family. She was always open for anything and especially loved going out to eat, shopping and exploring new places.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years - Robert “Bob” Brown, daughter Stephanie “Stevi” Jeffery, step-son Bobby (Silvia), grandson RJ, sister Pat Whiteside Tremayne, brother-in-laws Duane and Jerry (Charlene) Brown along with several nieces and nephews.
Mikki requested no service. The family is asking in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to the Parkinson Research Foundation https://Parkinsonhope.org.
