Lanie T. Doll 95, of Fillmore passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018, peacefully at home with her family by her side.
Lanie was born August 11, 1922 in Leipzig, Germany. She was a Ventura County resident for 42 years.
Lanie was a talented painter; she mastered both water color and oil media. She received awards for her portraits and landscapes. She traveled extensively with her husband John and served as his interpreter for him on trips to Europe as she spoke fluent German. Lanie and John were married for 65 years until Johns’ passing in 2006.
She was preceded in death by her parents Otto and Paula wolf.
Lanie is survived by her son Cary (wife Patti) and daughter Colleen Doll-Hornbaker (husband Dave), grandchild Jon Doll (wife Bethany), great grandchildren Samantha Dale, Alexandria Dale, Everly Doll and Ella Doll.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7, at Bardsdale Cemetery. A Memorial Service to follow at the Bardsdale Methodist Church, 1498 Bardsdale Ave, Bardsdale.
