Juanita Capetillo Pina

Juanita Capetillo Pina, 91, she was born on November 24, 1917 in Jalpa, Zacatecas, Mexico, but raised in the city of Nochistlan, Zacatecas to Serapio Capetillo and Higinia Esparza.
She moved to Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, when she married the love of her life, Pablo Pina. After living there for a few years they left to find a new life to Tijuana, Baja California. They decided to try their luck in United States and after living for a while in San Francisco came to make Fillmore, CA their new and permanent home.
“Mamita” as she was lovingly known by her family, worked for Olga’s Fashion development in Fillmore for 17 years before deciding to retire and stay at home with her family after the passing of her husband. She devoted her life and love to her family. She loved to also sing and write songs that she would sing to her family and anyone who would be lucky enough to have contact with her. She loved God with all her heart and would always tell her family her favorite verse, which was Luke 1027 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Pablo and her infant son Salvador.
She is survived by her two daughters: Dolores Martinez (Carlos) and Maria Guadalupe (Efren).
Seven grandchildren: Bryanna; Lorena (Julver); Mireya (Jacob); Erick; Kyara (Efrain); Bonyta, and stepgrandchild Diana (Victor)
Great Grandchildren: Frankie, Delayna, Alexa, Livia, Zuriel, Xavien, Uziah, Solei, Carlos.
Visitation will be held at Skillin-Carroll Mortuary at 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a rosary at 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church with burial to follow at Bardsdale Cemetery.
