Harry “Sam” Myers passed away Friday evening, December 19th ,surrounded by his friends and family.
He preceded in death by his parents Dutch Myers and Bill and Estelle Johnson.
He is survived by his brothers and their spouses Larry (Barbara) and Tom (Debbie). His wife of 37 years, Beverly and their two children and their spouses Roni (Holly) Troxler and Jake (Kristen) Myers. He also leaves behind four grandchildren Madison, Marcus and Ryan Myers and Dakota Troxler.
Sam served his country in the Army in Vietnam and worked in the Oil Industry for 27 years. He retired in 2007 from the County of Ventura road maintenance division after 10 years of service. Sam’s family would like to offer thanks to the staff at Ventura County Medical Center, Dr.s Owendijke, Gaal, Rowley and especially Dr. Mike M. Tushla and Dr. Gail Simpson. A special Thank you also goes out to Danny Torres and all of Sam’s friends and family. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 26 at 12:00 P.M. at Bardsdale Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers Donations may be made to your favorite Charity would be appreciated.
Life is not a journey to the grave,
With the intention of arriving safely,
In a pretty and well preserved body,
But rather to skid in broadside
Thoroughly used up,
Totally worn out and proclaiming,
“Wow, what a ride!!!”
