![]() On Friday, March 13, officials broke ground on the Creekside development in Fillmore. The 134 single-family homes will include 20 affordable units and 16 will be attached Accessory Dwelling Units. The market rate pricing could range from the high $600,000s to mid-$800,000s. The development sits on vacant land west of Goodenough Road and north of B Street. Homes are estimated to go on sale late April/May. The property was bought in 2019 and Williams Homes partnered with Fillmore city staff, Planning Commission and City Council on design and an agreeable plan. ![]() On Monday, March 16, at approximately 3:15 p.m., the Fillmore Fire and Fillmore Police Departments were dispatched to a reported structure fire at the Fillmore Animal Hospital, located in the 500 block of Santa Clara Street. Upon arrival, firefighters found light smoke inside the building, and all occupants and animals were evacuated. The smoke was traced to an air conditioning vent that had possibly caught fire. On 03/11/2026, at about 5:56 PM, deputies from the Fillmore Station responded to the area of A Street near Old Telegraph Road reference a battery victim. Upon arrival, deputies located a 17-year-old juvenile victim with injuries consistent with being assaulted. The juvenile victim was transported to the hospital where he was admitted and treated for his injuries. |
![]() This past season the Fillmore High Girls Basketball team finished 2nd in the Citrus Coast League (CCL), with an overall record 15-11 and 7-3 in league. Multiple Fillmore players were chosen for CCL Teams All-League, along with FHS Girls Head Basketball Coach Mark Blankenship being named Coach of the Year.
