![]() Sheriffs cordoned off the crime scene on Burson Lane and Oliver Street Sunday night, where a shooting took place. The call went out as a 16-year-old male, shot in the lower abdomen. On 12/07/2025, at about 8:50 PM, deputies from the Fillmore Station responded to the 1000 block of Oliver Street in Fillmore reference a shooting which had just occurred. Upon arrival, deputies located evidence indicating the incident occurred on Burson Lane south of Oliver Street. |
![]() On Monday, December 8, at 8:43 p.m., Ventura County Fire, Fillmore City Fire, AMR Paramedics, and California Highway Patrol were dispatched to a reported traffic collision in the 1700 block of Grand Avenue, involving a Honda sedan and a parked farm truck. Santa rode down on Fillmore Fire Engine 91 as he waved to the crowd along with other Fire Fighters. While dozen of local groups and organizations, marching bands, school and more also participated marching or riding in this year’s parade wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. ![]() At Tuesday night’s City Council meeting the council had multiple presentations such as the Oath of Office for incoming District 1 Council Member Mario Rodriguez (pictured left), Mark Dominguez (Fillmore/Piru Veteran’s Parade Grand Marshal) was recognized for his honorary service to the country and community (pictured right). The council also awarded Nancy Rodriguez the Community Spirit Award, as well as recognized and thanked sponsors who contributed to the Fillmore Christmas tree lighting on Sunday, November 30. ![]() On Sunday, December 7, the Fillmore Fire Foundation kicked off their Holiday Toy Drive by hosting their annual BBQ Chicken Dinner Fundraiser to collect donations that are used to purchase hundreds of toys for children in the Fillmore area. Collection drop-off boxes for new toys were also available at the Fillmore Police and City Fire Station, City Hall, local banks and Diamond Realty. From 5pm to 7pm folks were able to swing by the Fillmore City Fire Station for their meal. A complete chicken dinner meal was prepared for anyone wanting to donate $15 or a brand-new toy valued at $15 or more, to be given away at the Community Holiday Giveaway event to be held on December 13, 2025 @ 9:00 A.M. On Tuesday, December 2, at approximately 1:14 p.m., Fillmore Police Department, Fillmore City Fire, and AMR Paramedics were dispatched to a reported traffic collision on Central Avenue and First Street, in front of Fillmore High School.
