This year’s event had 265 entries compared to last year’s 216. It was held at the Fillmore Active Adult Center and folks of all ages participated. Athletes have to qualify for this meet based on seasonal marks. Fillmore sent 14 athletes to compete at this Championship Meet. |

![]() On Wednesday, April 15th, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Fillmore deputies contacted a 24-year-old male at Central Park, 250 Central Avenue. Deputies determined the subject was on probation. During the contact, the subject resisted and delayed law enforcement. He was found to be in possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia and was also involved in the theft of utilities from the City of Fillmore. They also learned more about One Step A La Vez, including summer programming available to those 13-19 years of age. ![]() At Tuesday night’s city council meeting the City of Fillmore gave out two proclamations: one proclaiming April as National Fair Housing Month, which was presented to Brandy Lengning who spoke on behalf of Homegrown Realty of Fillmore and the Ventura County Coastal Association of Realtors by Mayor Albert Mendez.
