On Sunday, August 30, at approximately 10:41 p.m., the Fillmore Police Department, Fillmore City Fire, and AMR Paramedics responded to a reported traffic collision in the 400 block of Chambersburg Road. Deputies arrived and located a gray Ram pickup truck that had gone off the roadway and into a ditch. The driver was evaluated at the scene and declined medical treatment. Deputies learned that the driver had been leaving a rodeo/concert event taking place across the street from the collision location. The California Highway Patrol responded and took over the investigation. At this time, it is unknown whether the driver was arrested for DUI. Photo credit Angel Esquivel.
