Truck Collision Causes Fuel Spill
On Monday, June 5th, at 8:20am, Ventura County Fire Department, AMR Paramedics, and California Highway Patrol were dispatched to a reported traffic collision on SR23 / Elkins Road, Bardsdale. Arriving firefighters found a truck with a trailer attached and a blue Audi with front-end damage. Two patients were on-scene; one patient was transported to CMH Hospital for minor injuries, second patient was not transported. According to CHP, approximately 20 gallons of fuel from the truck spilled onto the roadway causing both directions of SR23 to shut down until Environmental Health arrived.
