FUSD Assistant Superintendent Isaac Huang and Superintendent Chrissy Schieferle presented last week’s Fillmore Rotary program, sharing students’ perspectives on what they believe makes a quality education. They discussed the district’s efforts to build student confidence, teach practical life skills, provide peer support through a senior-to-freshman mentoring program, and offer additional academic assistance. The goal, they explained, is not simply to teach students, but to ensure they learn and develop the skills needed for success.
