Rotary presents $500 to One Step A La Vez
Kate English, the new Director of One Step A La Vez, presented the program at Rotary. She expressed her excitement as she described a La Vez as a drop-in center with homework help, a community center with classes for parents, a food distribution center, and a place to guide teens age 13-19 toward a better future. They also have guest speakers and field trips to expand their horizons. The site is located at 421 Sespe Avenue. Three students, Noah, Emily and Dillon, talked about what the center meant to them.
