Nearly 70% of Fillmore High Seniors Accepted to California State University Channel Islands

Fillmore Unified School District Superintendent Christine Schieferle said, “Please join the entire Fillmore Unified School District in congratulating the 164 Fillmore High Seniors (that’s nearly 70% of the senior class) who have been provisionally accepted to California State University Channel Islands. The Fillmore Unified School District and California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding designed to expand higher education opportunities for Fillmore High School students. Through this partnership, eligible Fillmore High graduates will be granted priority admission to CSUCI, supporting a seamless transition from high school to college. The agreement reflects both institutions’ shared commitment to increasing college access, promoting academic success, and encouraging students from our Fillmore/Piru community to pursue four-year university degrees close to home.”
