Jaws of Life Used in 2-Car Traffic Collision
On Thursday, September 3, at approximately 1:45 p.m., the Fillmore Police Department, Fillmore City Fire Department, and AMR Paramedics were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision at the intersection of Ventura Street and Central Avenue. Upon arrival, firefighters located a white Dodge and a Jeep SUV involved in the crash. The Dodge sustained significant damage to the driver’s side door, trapping the driver inside. Firefighters performed an extrication using hydraulic rescue tools (Jaws of Life) to safely remove the patient. The driver was transported by AMR Paramedics to a local hospital.
