Grimes Canyon TC Patient Airlifted Out
On Thursday, September 3, at approximately 9:47 a.m., the Ventura County Fire Department, AMR Paramedics, and the California Highway Patrol were dispatched to a traffic collision in the 3500 block of Grimes Canyon Road. According to CHP, the incident involved a blue sedan that struck an embankment and rolled over. Due to the driver’s injuries, a helicopter was requested. The patient was transported to the nearest helistop, where Copter 9 airlifted the patient and transported them to a local hospital.  Southbound lanes of Grimes Canyon Road were temporarily shut down while emergency crews operated at the scene. A tow truck was requested to remove the vehicle.
