At approximately 5:46 p.m., Fillmore City Fire Department responded to a small spot fire in the 1300 block of River Street, behind the old sewer plant. Firefighters accessed the area and quickly extinguished the fire. It was noted that the fire occurred near a homeless encampment; no injuries were reported. Photo credit Angel Esquivel.
