Fillmore Citizen’s Patrol Awards $3,500 in Scholarships
On Thursday, June 16th, 2022, Fillmore Citizen Patrol awarded three scholarships to high school seniors interested in the first responder professions. Izaac Mercado is interested in the fire service as a career and was awarded the John Harm Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,500. Oscar Villalta was awarded $1,000 and is also looking to go into the fire service. Kayla Cervantez was awarded $1,000 and is interested in going into law enforcement.
