Crash, Flipped Car Leads to DUI Arrest
On Wednesday, February 18, at 5:11 p.m., the Fillmore Police Department, Fillmore City Fire, and AMR Paramedics were dispatched to a traffic collision in the 300 block of Saratoga Street. Arriving sheriff’s deputies found a vehicle on its roof, along with two parked vehicles that had been struck. The driver of the overturned vehicle was arrested for driving with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.08% or higher, in violation of VC 23152(a) and VC 23152(b). The subject was also driving with a suspended license due to a prior DUI, in violation of VC 14601.2(a), and was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail. Photo credit Angel Esquivel.
