Brush Fire Knocked Down in Riverbed

On Monday, September 1st, at 4:14 p.m., Fillmore Fire Department and Ventura County Fire responded to a 100x100 spot fire in the Santa Clara riverbed that was spreading slowly. A copter was requested but cancelled due to a forward progress stop. About two hours later, the Fillmore City Fire Department responded to the same place as before to cool down the hotspots.
