On Thursday, May 7, at approximately 7:25 p.m., the Fillmore Police Department and Fillmore City Fire responded to a reported fire in the Santa Clara River near Burlington Street and Reading Street. Deputies arrived and contacted a male subject who was actively causing two small spot fires. During the investigation, the known subject was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance.
