STUDENT INFORMATION
1. LUNCH BASKETBALL TODAY during 2nd lunch. All students who signed up, be there or be square!
2. SCHOOL RULES – Permanent markers are not allowed at FMS. If you are in possession of a permanent marker you will be suspended.
3. REWARD OFFERED for a lost green wallet. Please return to the front office if you found it.
4. SPIRIT FRIDAY Feb. 25th – I-Pod Day
5. FMS GIRLS – Applications are available for the Miss Teen Fillmore Pageant. If you are a student in good standing and turned 13 by January 1, you are eligible to compete. Applications are available in the FMS office, at the FHS student store, the Fillmore Chamber of Commerce or by contacting Pageant Director Lori McLain at 524-4432. The mother/daughter tea is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the Memorial Bldg. The first practice begins Wednesday, March 2.
PARENT INFORMATION
1. PLEASE PLAN AHEAD – The FMS parking lot will be closed the morning of Friday, March 4th. There will be no cars allowed in the parking lot that morning. There will be one loop in and out of the gate to drop off students. If you can, please drop your son/daughter off before the stop sign at 1st and A Streets and have them walk in to school. This will ease congestion into the school. Thanks for your support.
2. OUR NEXT MOTHER/DAUGHTER WORKSHOP series at FMS begins Tuesday, March 1 at 5:30 p.m. If you have a daughter between the ages of 12 to 14 and would like to participate in this special group or find out more about the workshops, please contact our counselor, Mrs. Reyes-Deutsch; 524-6056.
3. MEET & GREET Friday, 2/25/11 7:30-8:30 a.m.
4. ZANGLE PARENT CONNECT – If you have signed up for this service but have not received your PIN number, we apologize. Unfortunately the District is working to correct the situation and hopefully you will receive your PIN number shortly. Please do not hesitate to keep calling to remind us!
5. PARENTS – SIGN UP FOR PARENT CONNECTION for Zangle. See your student’s grades, attendance, class assignments. Fill out the form at the following link and return it to the middle school office. 6. 7th-12th GRADE STUDENTS are now required to get a whooping cough immunization before starting the 2011-2012 school year. Make an appointment now for your student(s) to receive this required vaccination.
7. WEBSITE INFO: Our Calendar of Events is posted at the Fillmore Unified School District Website at: www.fillmore.k12.ca.us Once there, you can click on Fillmore Middle School and you will find the calendar of events listed in the upper left corner. You will also find a cafeteria menu and staff email access.
