STUDENT INFORMATION
1. AUTISM AMBASSADORS BOOT CAMP is designed to teach middle school and high school students to learn about people with autism as friends and schoolmates. There is a 4-session program offered March 12, 26, May 7 & May 21 from 12:15-3:00 p.m. If you are interested in participating see our Counselor, Mrs. Reyes-Deutsch
2. SCHOOL RULES – If you have a new address or phone number, please give the information to the office.
3. SPIRIT FRIDAY – Crazy Hair Day on Friday, Feb. 18th!
4. FMS GIRLS – Applications are available for the Miss Teen Fillmore Pageant. If you are a student in good standing and turned 13 by January 1st, you are eligible to compete. Applications are available in the FMS office, at the FHS student store, the Fillmore Chamber of Commerce or by contacting Pageant Director Lori McLain at 524-4432. The mother/daughter tea is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 23rd at 6:30 p.m. at the Memorial Bldg. The first practice begins Wednesday, March 2nd.
5. 8TH GRADERS - IF YOU LOVE THE ARTS like acting, drawing or even photography then come see Mrs. Reyes-Deutsch, counselor, to find out how you can apply to go to the California State Summer School for the Arts. Deadline for applications is Friday, February 18th.
PARENT INFORMATION
1. ZANGLE PARENT CONNECT – If you have signed up for this service but have not received your PIN number, we apologize. Unfortunately the District is working to correct the situation and hopefully you will receive your PIN number shortly. Please do not hesitate to keep calling to remind us!
2. PARENTS – SIGN UP FOR PARENT CONNECTION for Zangle. See your student’s grades, attendance, class assignments. Fill out the form at the following link and return it to the middle school office. 3. 7th-12th GRADE STUDENTS are now required to get a whooping cough immunization before starting the 2011-2012 school year. Make an appointment now for your student(s) to receive this required vaccination.
4. WEBSITE INFO: Our Calendar of Events is posted at the Fillmore Unified School District Website at: www.fillmore.k12.ca.us Once there, you can click on Fillmore Middle School and you will find the calendar of events listed in the upper left corner. You will also find a cafeteria menu and staff email access.
