STUDENT INFORMATION
1. 2nd QUARTER AWARDS BREAKFAST will take place TOMORROW, Feb. 3 from 8:15-8:45 a.m. All students eligible to attend the breakfast (GPA 3.0-4.0 and Outstanding Citizenship) will receive an invitation today. We will be serving waffles with strawberries & whipped cream, sausage, orange juice and milk. Congratulations to all of you on the list!
2. SCHOOL RULES – FMS students are not allowed to be on any other school campus after school.
3. MIGRANT SPEECH TEAM – If you are interested in joining this year’s team, please come to a short informational meeting this Thursday, 2/3 at the beginning of lunch in Ms. Betzel’s room, I-4. If you are unable to attend the lunch meeting, please come immediately after school.
4. CAFETERIA INFO – Student must show your ID when going through the lunch line.
5. WASHINGTON DC mandatory lunch meeting today in room K-3 during 2nd lunch.
6. LUNCH BASKETBALL tomorrow, 2/3 during 2nd lunch. Sign up today in Ms. Morielli’s room, G-1. Spots are filling up quickly.
7. SPIRIT FRIDAY- This Friday, 2/4 is Pajama Day!
8. GREAT ESCAPE II – Congratulations to those student who have earned 3.6 GPA and above for 2nd quarter. Escape passes will go out TODAY during period 5. Remember to keep up your grades and turn in all of your homework.
9. FRIENDSHIP/VALENTINE GRAMS – Show you care. Send your friends a valentine/friendship gram. Grams go on sale starting today through February 11th. Cost is 25 cents.
10. FRIENDSHIP/VALENTINE DANCE – Bring a friend to our valentine friendship dance on Friday, Feb. 11th. Tickets go on sale starting today through Feb. 11th. Students must have a signed parent permission slip to enter the dance. Cost in advance is $4.00. Cost at the door is $5.00.
PARENT INFORMATION
1. 7th-12th GRADE STUDENTS are now required to get a whooping cough immunization before starting the 2011-2012 school year. Make an appointment now for your student(s) to receive this required vaccination.
2. PARENTS – SIGN UP FOR PARENT CONNECTION for Zangle. See your student’s grades, attendance, class assignments. Fill out the form at the following link and return it to the middle school office. Your password will be emailed to you. www.fillmore.k12.ca.us Parent Connection Registration Comment
3. WEBSITE INFO: Our Calendar of Events is posted at the Fillmore Unified School District Website at: www.fillmore.k12.ca.us Once there, you can click on Fillmore Middle School and you will find the calendar of events listed in the upper left corner. You will also find a cafeteria menu and staff email access.
