STUDENT INFORMATION
1. GREETINGS TO ALL FMS STUDENTS! The Youth Act Club will meet today during 1st lunch in room K-4. Come and bring a friend to enjoy making crafts, eating snacks and just plain having fun. Be there or be square, but only if you dare!
2. SCHOOL RULES – If you have a new address or phone number, please give the information to the office. Thanks!
3. CAREER LUNCH on Friday, 1/16 during first lunch in room J-1. Meet Dr. Hudson who is a Periodontist – not a dentist! What is the difference between a dentist and a periodontist? Come find out what a periodontist does that goes beyond a cleaning with a dentist.
4. FRIENDSHIP PHOTOS is the time for Valentines and celebrating friendships. Be on the lookout for lunch photos on the pavilion stage. The cost is $2.00 and a chance to be in The Doghouse.
5. THE ANSWER to The Doghouse math problem is 13,068 books in the library. The winners are: Jose Luis Perez, Jose Contreras, Daniel Meza, Steven Rodriguez, Donna Avila, Jennifer Avila, Jennifer Martin, Maggie Carrillo and Tyler Brown. Please see Ms. Morielli after school for your prize.
6. GATE STUDENTS – Please join us for our first meeting of the year. We will be meeting in Ms. Lynch’s room (I-4) on Thursday, 1/15 from 3-3:30 p.m. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Lynch or Mrs. Wohlers.
7. CAFETERIA INFO – If you owe money to the cafeteria, you must pay your bill. Starting TODAY you will NOT receive a full lunch without paying your bill.
8. COMPUTER USE FORMS – We still have 181 students who have not returned your signed Computer Acceptable Use form. Students missing the form were given new ones and asked to get it returned with a parent signature. If we do not get this form back, we will have to turn off your computer privileges by disabling your password. Be responsible and return the signed form! You may turn it in to any teacher and they will forward it to the office.
9. THE DOGHOUSE – If you have an interesting story, poem, picture or recipe to share with others and would like to publish it in the FMS Doghouse, please email it (amorielli@fillmore.k12.ca.us) or turn in a copy to Ms. Morielli in room G-1.
10. HEY YOU! Wake up! It’s time to get your yearbook and it’s also your last chance to get your name on the yearbook. They are still $40 so hurry and order. You snooze, you lose! See Miss Beal in K-3 or the yearbook table during 1st lunch by Friday, 1/23.
11. EARTH DAY IS EVERY DAY – See Juan Zavala and Marco Perez if you would like to learn about protecting monkeys around the world. New Earth Day ideas will start again in April. Keep up the good work and protect Planet Earth!
