STUDENT INFORMATION
1. NO SCHOOL TOMORROW, Thursday, Nov. 11th, Veteran’s Day.
2. SCHOOL RULES – Please show your ID when going through the cafeteria lines at break and at lunch. It helps to move the lines more quickly!
3. ADVISORY ROTATION – All students please report to your homeroom class this Friday, Nov. 12th during Advisory. Your teachers will have a posted Homeroom List on their classroom door.
4. NEW ROTATION starts Monday, Nov. 15th – All students will begin the day with period 5 and end the day with period 4.
5. YOUTH ACT CLUB – 2nd lunch group – Today is trash pick-up day. Stop by Ms. DuBois or Ms. Cone’s room right after school. Our next meeting is this coming Monday, Nov. 15th.
6. TALEN SHOW – Students interested in performing in the FMS talent show at the end of the year, please sign up with Ms. Morielli in room G-1. Think about dance, poetry, drama, music and art!
7. SCRAPBOOK CLUB will meet during 1st lunch TODAY. This meeting is open to any student who has 1st lunch and would like to work on a scrapbook. You may bring your lunch to room B-1 for our first meeting this year!
8. BOYS BASKETBALL PRACTICE – If you are on one of our boys basketball teams and you have football practice this week, you are not required to attend basketball practice.
9. FRIDAY, Nov. 12th is the 100th anniversary football game between Fillmore High School and Santa Paula. The game is sold out. If you do not have a ticket, you should not try attending the game. There are plans to use the middle school parking lot that afternoon so please plan to leave school immediately at the end of the day to avoid any traffic and congestion that this event will bring. Students should not plan to stay after school on that day for any reason.
10. GREAT ESCAPE – Students with a GPA of 3.3 or higher for first quarter will receive a Great Escape pass this week as follows: 7th grade TODAY and 8th grade on Friday, Nov. 12th. Students will go to the pavilion at 2:30 for their reward. No pass, no treat, no exception! You must have your pass in order to receive your treat.
11. DO YOU GET MAD EASILY? Does your anger get you in trouble? If so, come see Mrs. Reyes-Deutsch to sign up for an Anger Management group that is being formed.
12. CANNED FOOD DRIVE – A.V.I.D. is hosting a canned food drive at FMS! The 4th period class that collects the most cans by Friday, Nov. 19th will win a pizza party! Please, no dented cans.
13. BAND BOOSTERS is selling homemade jam. Get some as holiday gifts or for yourself. TODAY is the last day to order from a band member.
14. 8TH GRADE STUDENTS ONLY – If you want your baby picture in the yearbook, get them to Miss Beal in room K-3. Put your name and your 4th period teacher’s name on the back of your picture. No spots will be held without a photo.
15. CST GOAL SETTING – If you have not filled out your goal sheet and found and adult mentor, please do so. If you lost your form, you can come to the attendance office and get another one.
16. YEARBOOKS – Time is running out! We have sold half the yearbooks. Get yours now before they are gone. Only $45! What an amazing and affordable price which includes your name free! See Miss Beal in K-3 during 1st lunch or our table at 2nd lunch. If you really want a yearbook you better act fast!

1. PARENTS ARE WELCOME to come to our school any time. Please be sure to sign in at the front office and get a visitor’s pass before going on campus.
2. WEBSITE INFO: Our Calendar of Events is posted at the Fillmore Unified School District Website at: www.fillmore.k12.ca.us Once there, you can click on Fillmore Middle School and you will find the calendar of events listed in the upper left corner. You will also find a cafeteria menu and staff email access.
