STUDENT INFORMATION

1. MAKE UP PICTURE DAY will take place TODAY. If you didn’t get your picture taken earlier this year OR if you didn’t remember to bring money to purchase pictures on our first picture day, plan to have your picture taken again. Flyers are available and you may pick one up from the front office if you are planning to purchase pictures. 6th graders will go to the gym from 9-10:00; 7th from 10-11:00 and 8th from 11-12:00. Teachers have a list of students that need to have their picture taken.
2. ID CARDS – The office has received duplicate ID cards. If you have lost your ID card, you may purchase one after the break for $3.00.
3. SCHOOL RULES – Disrupting school activities will result in either Administrative Detention or a possible 1 day suspension. A second offense will result in a 1-3 day suspension. Stay on task, be respectful and keep working hard in every class!
4. BASKETBALL SIGN-UPS today in the front office for boys and girls. Tryouts will take place on Thursday, 10/8 with the boys tryouts starting at 3:30 and girls tryouts starting at 5:30 p.m. in the gym.
5. ATTENTION ALL 8th GRADERS – We will be taking the 8th grade class photo on Thursday, 10/8 at 7:50 a.m. right below the band stairs. If you want to be in the photo, we’ll see you there. Listen for the reminder announcement at 7:45 a.m. to go to the stairs.
6. SPIRIT RALLY – The spirit rally is this Friday, 10/9. All grades can participate in the games. Students that would like to participate must wear their grade level color shirts and tape your grade number on your shirt. 6th graders wear white; 7th graders wear red and 8th graders wear blue. See Ms. Morielli in G-1 for more information.
7. MIMIMUM DAY ON FRIDAY, 10/9/09. Students will be released at 12:15 p.m.
8. OCTOBER BREAK – Our Fall break takes place Oct. 12-19. Students return on Tuesday, 10/20/09.
9. 1sT QUARTER REPORT CARDS will be mailed Tuesday, 10/20/09. Work hard and make sure you surprise your parents with some awesome grades!
10. WOULD YOU LIKE TO WIN A FREE YEARBOOK? Enter the yearbook drawing
contest. Show your school spirit. Drawings should include: Our school mascot, school name and mission statement (Together we will: Think, Believe, Create, Achieve). Drawing should be on 8 ½ x 11” paper. Picture could be in black and white or in color. Picture due to Miss Beal by Oct. 24th. Selected drawing will win a free yearbook!

PARENT INFORMATION

1. FMS GARDEN – If anyone has a dump truck to bring FREE soil to the FMS garden, please contact Mrs. Merrill at 524-6070.
2. WOOD DONATIONS – The Science Club is hoping to build a wooden arbor and would appreciate wood donations. If this is something you can help with, please contact the FMS office.
3. PARENTS ARE WELCOME here at Fillmore Middle School. If you wish to come on our campus, please be sure to sign in at the front office and get a visitor badge. We want you and your student to have a wonderful experience here at FMS!
