STUDENT INFORMATION

1. BULLDOGS – You will be receiving a CST goal setting sheet in your 3rd period class today. Please take the time to ask an adult on campus to help you fill out the form. Once the form is signed by your parents, you can return it to an adult on campus. Once you have turned in your sheet you will be entered into the weekly prize drawing. We will be giving out prizes every Friday for the next 4 weeks. Get your forms turned in as soon as possible.
2. SCHOOL RULES – Scholastic CrimeStoppers offers a reward of $50.00 if you provide information regarding a crime, drugs or weapons on campus. The student providing the information will remain anonymous. See our Principal Mr. Schweller or our Assistant Principal Mr. Carroll if you have information.
3. STUDENT ID’s need to be presented when you go through the lunch line. It makes the lines move more quickly!
4. TODAY our wresting team will be hosting a match with Haydock Intermediate School here in our gym beginning at 5:30 p.m. Please come and cheer on our team!
5. VENTURA COLLEGE is offering 3 different “free” classes to 7th & 8th grade students during the December break, 12/20-12/22: Construction Camp, Fun with Computer Gaming & Robotic Camp. Classes are limited to 20 students. If interested go to the Ventura College Website at: http://www.comunityed.venturacollege.edu
6. BASKETBALL tryouts will be announced soon. Listen to the bulletin for more info. See Coach Alcantar for more info as well.
7. NEW ROTATION starts next Monday, Oct. 25th All students will start their day with period 4 and end the day with period 3.
8. PRIDE COMMITTEE is studying countries of the Middle East. If you have any stories, ideas, or art to share, please contact Mrs. Merrill in J-1 or join us for 2nd lunch on any Wednesday.
9. MAKE UP PICTURES can be picked up in the office.
10. DOMINOS PIZZA WEDNESDAYS will begin TODAY. The cafeteria will be serving pepperoni pizza and garden bar every Wednesday.
11. BBQ ROUNDUP FRIDAYS – Starting Friday, Oct. 22nd the cafeteria will be serving BBQ hamburgers, cheeseburgers, Dodger dogs and chicken along with the garden bar.
12. YOUTH ACT CLUB – Our next meeting will be Monday, 10/25. Come to room D-2 during first lunch and K-1 during second lunch. We will be planning upcoming events and choosing leadership positions. This is a very important meeting. Goodies will be served. Come help make our world a better place, one student at a time!
13. LOGO CONTEST – The Senior Center is looking for a new logo and they are sponsoring a contest to select one. The winner will receive $50.00. Deadline is Thanksgiving, November 25th. For more information contact Gloria Hansen at jkhansen@prodigy.net
14. YEARBOOK –There are only 200 yearbooks ordered this year and about 900 students on campus. If you want to guarantee you get a yearbook, you need to buy it now. Price is $45 which includes your name for free. See us at our lunch table during 2nd lunch or 1st lunch student can go to Miss Beal’s room, K-3. Get them fast while they last!

1. PARENTS ARE WELCOME to come to our school any time. Please be sure to sign in at the front office and get a visitor’s pass before going on campus.
2. WEBSITE INFO: Our Calendar of Events is posted at the Fillmore Unified School District Website at: www.fillmore.k12.ca.us Once there, you can click on Fillmore Middle School and you will find the calendar of events listed in the upper left corner. You will also find a cafeteria menu and staff email access.
