STUDENT INFORMATION

1. GATE MEETING Thursday, April 8th after school in room B-1. Topic is the writing contests.
2. SCHOOL RULES – Fighting or encouraging a fight will result in a 3-5 day suspension.
3. NEW ROTATION starts next Monday, April 12th. All students will begin the day with period 5 and end the day with period 4.
4. EARTH DAY IS EVERY DAY! Use cloth bags instead of paper or plastic.
5. TWO BALD EAGLE CHICKS are about to hatch on the Channel Islands. Search the internet for Channel Islands Live to see the bald eagles in their nest!
6. ALL PIRU STUDENTS who are interested in attending a Dodger game for FREE on May 31st, please sign up with Norma Magana in the Mentor Room (next to the ASB Room) during lunch or break. First come, first served.
7. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED at San Cayetano for help with their Science Night on April 8th starting at 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. 8th grade students may sign up by calling San Cayetano School at 524-6040. This is a great opportunity to get some community service hours.
8. FLASHES PEP SQUAD – Anyone interested in trying out for the Flashes Pep Squad may pick up a permission slip at the high school student store. Tryout practice will start April 19th-April 22nd and tryouts will be held on Friday, April 23rd. You must have a permission slip in order to participate in tryouts. Parent meeting will be held April 19th at 6:30 in the high school gym. If you have any questions, please call Ms. Tafoya at the high school.

2. PARENTS ARE WELCOME here at Fillmore Middle School. If you wish to come on our campus, please be sure to sign in at the front office and get a visitor badge. We want you and your students to have a wonderful experience here at FMS!
