STUDENT INFORMATION

1. WASHINGTON DC MANDATORY LUNCH MEETING tomorrow, Jan. 12th during 2nd lunch in room K-3.
2. SCHOOL RULES – Be sure to bring your ID card with you when you go through the lunch line. If you do not have your card, you will be required to go through the line with no card and you won’t have the same food choices!
3. REPORT CARDS were mailed last week. If you have any grades missing or wrong grades, please check with your teacher and your teacher can refer you to the office.
4. OUR SCHOOL-WIDE SPELLING BEE takes place tomorrow, Jan. 12th. Listen to the bulletin for further information.
5. NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY, January 17, 2011 - Martin Luther King Birthday

PARENT INFORMATION

1. PARENT CONNECT – Collaboration and communication between parents and staff is a priority at FUSD. In an effort to build on this belief and ensure academic success for all students, we are implementing Zangle Parent Connection. The Parent Connection application provides parents secured internet access to a wide array of their children’s school data. Parents will have immediate access to information such as district, school and classroom news, student demographics, student schedules, attendance activity, class assignments, report cards and progress reports, health and immunizations, and standardized testing results. If you are interested in accessing Zangle Parent Connect you may do so by downloading the forms from the school web site or pick them up from the school secretary. Once the forms are completed and returned to the school secretary, a password and pin will be issued to you. We are implementing this program initially at our secondary schools with the intention of incorporating the elementary sites in the near future. Please contact the high school or middle school if you have any questions.
2. FMS PHONE PROBLEMS – Our phone system is not working properly at this time. We have limited use of phones, but can get calls if you call the 524-6055 phone number. You may experience busy signals but please keep trying. You can also email any staff member and can access those emails as indicated on #3 below.
3. PARENTS ARE WELCOME to come to our school any time. Please be sure to sign in at the front office and get a visitor’s pass before going on campus.
4. WEBSITE INFO: Our Calendar of Events is posted at the Fillmore Unified School District Website at: www.fillmore.k12.ca.us Once there, you can click on Fillmore Middle School and you will find the calendar of events listed in the upper left corner. You will also find a cafeteria menu and staff email access.
