STUDENT INFORMATION
1. WORD OF THE WEEK is replaced by MATH QUESTION OF THE WEEK – What is the square root of 25? Know the answer and show how you found it and you may win a donated pizza from our own Domino’s Pizza here in Fillmore.
2. SCHOOL RULES – Cutting a teacher detention will result in a referral to administrative detention.
3. THE MIGRANT EDUCATION ANNUAL SPEECH & DEBATE TOURNAMENT was held at Oxnard High on Saturday, March 20th. Our FMS team participants prepared three speeches for the competition and prepared three extemporaneous speeches on the day of the competition. Congratulations to the entire Migrant Speech Team for their hard work and dedication. The following students were winners and brought home trophies: 6th Grade – Yulissa Fregoso; 1st place prepared speech, 1st place extemporaneous speech. 7th Grade – Viridiana Quintana; 1st place prepared speech, 1st place extemporaneous speech. 8th grade – Banely Arevalo; 2nd place prepared speech. In addition from among the 500 participants, a champion trophy was awarded for the highest overall score. That trophy went to our own Viridiana Quintana! Congratulations team and a special thank you to Mrs. Ramos for leading them to success!
4. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED at San Cayetano for help with their Science Night on April 8th starting at 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. 8th grade students may sign up by calling San Cayetano School at 524-6040. This is a great opportunity to get some community service hours.
