STUDENT INFORMATION
1. CONGRATULATIONS to Suzie Arana and Calista Godfrey for winning the certificate of Achievement award in the 2011 California Safe and Wise Waterways Poster Contest.
2. SCHOOL RULES – Vandalism, graffiti or destruction of school or personal property will result in a 3-5 day suspension.
3. SCRAPBOOKING CLUB will meet in room B-1 during 1st lunch on Wednesday, March 30th. Bring your lunch and photos and we’ll see you there. New members are always welcome.
4. YOUTH ACT CLUB will resume on Tuesday, March 29 (for this week only). We will be deciding our next project - maybe something for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
5. 8th GRADERS – Remember, for the end of the year trip to the park you must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 for the year and no suspensions in the 4th quarter.
6. WOULD YOU LIKE to visit college campuses? Do you work hard and get good grades? AVID is now accepting applications for the next school year. If you are interested in applying, please pick up an application from either Miss Atwood in C-2 or Mrs. Wyand in the office. Applications are due April 29th at 3 p.m. There are 7 eighth grade openings and 10 seventh grade openings.
7. DIABOLOS – There are only 6 diabolos left. Bring your $20.00 tomorrow. Don’t be left out!
8. SPIRIT FRIDAY, March 25th – 80’s Day!
9. 3rd QUARTER REPORT CARDS were mailed home Tuesday. If you are missing a grade or have a question about your grade, see your teacher(s). Changes can be made via email from your teacher to Mrs. Brock.
10. PRIDE COMMITTEE MEMBERS – Our weekly meetings have returned to Wednesdays during 2nd lunch in room J-1. Bring your ideas. See you during 2nd lunch today.
PARENT INFORMATION
1. ELAC MEETING has been rescheduled for April 29, 2011 at 8:30 a.m., following the April Meet & Greet.
2. ZANGLE PARENT CONNECT – If you have signed up for this service but have not received your PIN number, we apologize. The District is working to correct the situation and hopefully we will have PIN’s and passwords by the end of the month.
3. PARENTS – SIGN UP FOR PARENT CONNECTION for Zangle. See your student’s grades, attendance, class assignments. Fill out the form at the following link and return it to the middle school office. 4. 7th-12th GRADE STUDENTS are now required to get a whooping cough immunization before starting the 2011-2012 school year. Make an appointment now for your student(s) to receive this required vaccination.
5. You will also find a cafeteria menu and staff email access.
