STUDENT INFORMATION

1. THE VALENTINE DANCE has been cancelled. Refunds of tickets are available during both lunches today on the pavilion stage. Our next dance will be the Spring Dance in late March, early April.
2. SCHOOL RULES – Pajamas and slippers are NOT appropriate school attire. If you come “dressed” in these items, you will be required to change! Also, do NOT bring blankets!
3. REWARD OFFERED for the return of a dark colored teddy bear missing from C-1. If you have information, please see Mr. Schieferle or Mrs. Godfrey.
4. SCIENCE NIGHT is coming to FMS! In celebration of National Engineering Week, Ventura College and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers are hosting a fun and informative Science Night at FMS on Thursday, 2/19 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. College students and professional engineers will be helping students create mini science projects such as gliders and cars and holding competitions to see how well they work. There will be prizes and refreshments will be served. The event is free and parents are welcome to attend. See your math or science teacher for a flyer with more information.
5. GATE MEETING will take place in room I-4 after school TODAY.
6. MATH PROBLEM – The answer is: The oldest brother gets 4 cookies, the middle brother gets 2 cookies, and the youngest brother gets 1 cookie, for a total of 7 cookies. Congratulations to Steven Rodriguez, Jose Contreras, Jose Luis Perez, and Carson McLain for getting the correct answer.
7. NAMING CONTEST – The City of Fillmore is sponsoring a contest to name the new 22-acre community park which is being built at C & River Streets, next to the new skateboard park. The winner of the contest will receive $50.00. You can submit your entry to Fillmore City Hall. The park is expected to be finished in August and will have tennis & basketball courts, baseball & football fields, bike paths and a concession stand!
8. MARK YOUR CALENDARS – No school on Friday, 2/13/09 or Monday, 2/16/09.
9. SCHEDULE C – We will change to schedule C which begins with Per. 3 on Tuesday, 2/17/09
