STUDENT INFORMATION

1. NEW LIBRARY BOOKS ARE HERE! Come to the library and see what wonders are in store to shake your brain! We have 250 new books!
2. SCHOOL RULES – Harassment or intimidation against students or school personnel will result in a 3-day suspension and possible notification of the Sheriff’s Dept.
3. BASKETBALL PLAYERS – Please turn in your bag and practice jersey. Once everyone has turned in their equipment we can plan a potluck. Turn them in to either Coach Alcantar or the front office.
4. ALL FMS STUDENTS – This is your last chance at a $45 yearbook with your name on it. At the end of the year books will be $50 and no name. This sale ends Friday, Feb. 5th. See the yearbook table at lunch or Miss Beal in K-3.
5. NEW ROATION starts next week on Feb. 1st. All students will begin the day with 2nd period and end the day with 1st period.
6. WORD OF THE WEEK – EVALUATE: To decide the value or amount of something, to judge. (Pronounce, spell, define & use EVALUATE in a sentence…)
7. BOYS & GIRLS CLUB TEEN DANCE will take place on Friday, Feb. 5th from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club. Cost is $1.00 for members, $2.00 for non-members.
8. MISS /TEEN GREATER VENTURA USA 2010 PAGEANT – Opening night for sign-ups for those interested will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 9th, 6:30 p.m. at Emily Ritchen Elementary School. For full details, pick up a registration packet located in the front office.
9. GATE hobby fair meetings will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school for the next two weeks so that we can work on our display boards for the hobby fair. All GATE students are strongly encouraged to attend. See you there!

PARENT INFORMATION

1. PARENT MEET & GREET takes place tomorrow, Friday, 1/29 from 7:30-8:30 a.m. in room C-1. Hope to see you there!
2. OUR FMS WEBSITE is now under construction! You can log on at: www.fillmore.k12.ca.us and click on the Middle School. Our office staff and teaching staff along with email links are posted. If you have any ideas on what you would like to see on the site, you can email our Principal Todd Schieferle with your suggestions.
3. PARENTS ARE WELCOME here at Fillmore Middle School. If you wish to come on our campus, please be sure to sign in at the front office and get a visitor badge. We want you and your student to have a wonderful experience here at FMS!
