STUDENT INFORMATION
1. DISNEY DAY on Friday, Nov. 4th – Show your FMS school spirit and wear a Disney themed shirt, jacket, costume or hat!
2. SCHOOL RULES – Permanent markers are not allowed at Fillmore Middle School. If you bring one it will be confiscated and you will be assigned a detention.
3. 7th & 8th GRADERS will attend an assembly on Friday entitled “Someone Like Me”. We will be on a special schedule. 8th graders will attend the assembly from 12:50-1:40 and 7th graders will attend from 2:00-2:50 p.m. The lunch schedules are slightly different. 1st lunch will take place 11:15-11:55 and 2nd lunch from 12:00-12:40 p.m.
4. COME ON OVER to the Masquerade dance! Bring your favorite mask and have a ball on November 18th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Purchase your tickets during lunch; $3.00 in advance and $5.00 at the door.
5. YOUTH ACT CLUB will have a very important meeting today during 2nd lunch in room K-1. Come and make a difference in our world.
6. FILLMORE BAND BOOSTERS and band students are selling Pierpont Jam. The cost is $5.50 and orders will be taken until Friday, Nov. 4th. The jam will be delivered the week before the Thanksgiving break. Flavors are strawberry, blackberry, raspberry and banana. Order from a band student or call Kathy at 524-0534.
7. CANNED FOOD DRIVE – Show how FMS cares; bring canned goods and other non-perishable food items to help the needy! Bring your food donations to your 1st period class. The class with the most donations wins a pizza party!
8. GIRLS BASKETBALL SIGN UPS will take place next Monday through Thursday, Nov. 7-10th. TRYOUTS will take place on Thursday, Nov. 10th from 3-5:30 p.m. Please note that this is a change in information!
9. BOYS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS will take place Nov. 14-17, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
10. THE BRIDGES after school program has openings. If you are interested in participating, pick up an application from the front office.
11. 8th GRADERS – It’s your last year of being a bulldog. Make it last; put your baby picture in the 2012 yearbook! There are only 65 spots so get your baby picture to Miss Beal in K-3 before or after school. Write your name and 5th period teacher on the back of your photo. You may also email your photo to Miss Beal at: jbeal@fillmore.k12.ca.us.
PARENT INFORMATION
1. MARK YOUR CALENDARS – No school on Friday, November 11th – Veteran’s Day; Monday, November 21-25 – Local holidays and Thanksgiving holidays.
2. PARENTS – SIGN UP FOR PARENT CONNECTION for Zangle. See your student’s grades, attendance, class assignments. You may access the required form at our website: www.fillmore.k12.ca.us Click on the “For Parents” drop down, Zangle Parent Connection, Registration Form. Print and complete the form and have your student deliver it to the front office. Once processed you will receive a PIN number for accessing your student’s information.
