STUDENT INFORMATION
1. FIELD TRIP INFO – Students going to the Reagan Library today will be dismissed from class at 8:50 a.m. Please go to the 2nd arch by K-4 to meet the bus.
2. SCHOOL RULES – Please remember to use the crosswalks when you are walking to and from school and ALWAYS obey the directions of the crossing guards. They are there to help keep you safe!
3. RED RIBBON WEEK TRIVIA QUESTION – True or False? Drug use is often linked to violence. The first 5 student to tell Mrs. Bortins the correct answer on stage during break will receive a prize.
4. BLUE DAY – Tomorrow is Blue Day! Show your school spirit by wearing blue and support Red Ribbon Week.
5. COME AND GET YOUR SCARE ON! Visit our spooktacular ghouls and monsters in the Haunted House on the stage at lunch today, Friday and Monday. Tickets are $1.00. Can you handle fear? Grab some buddies and come find out!
6. 8th GRADERS – It’s your last year of being a bulldog. Make it last; put your baby picture in the 2012 yearbook! There are only 65 spots so get your baby picture to Miss Beal in K-3 before or after school. Write your name and 5th period teacher on the back of your photo. You may also email your photo to Miss Beal at: jbeal@fillmore.k12.ca.us.
7. YEARBOOKS – Last chance to order your yearbook for $40.00. Price goes up to $45.00 on November 1st! Order at the yearbook table during both lunches. If you have questions, see Miss Beal in room K-3.
8. THE YOUTH ACT CLUB meets today during 2nd lunch in room K-1. Please come join us while we help make a difference in our world.
9. BASKETBALL meeting Friday, Oct. 28th in room C-1 during 1st lunch and room H-2 during 2nd lunch.
10. HALLOWEEN COSTUME FUNDRAISER – If you are going to be purchasing a costume, buy one from Wholesale Costume Club. 11. ART CONTEST – If you are interested in participating in The Woman of Influence Art Contest sponsored by the Fillmore Soroptimist organization, pick up an entry form from the office. This contest is a way to celebrate and recognize women who have had a positive impact on others. Full details are listed on the entry form. SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS NOVEMBER 9, 2011.
PARENT INFORMATION
1. MEET & GREET – Please join us TOMORROW, October 27th at 7:30 a.m. Come and meet with Administrators, share some breakfast and hear more about what is happening at Fillmore Middle School.
2. PARENTS – SIGN UP FOR PARENT CONNECTION for Zangle. See your student’s grades, attendance, class assignments. You may access the required form at our website: www.fillmore.k12.ca.us Click on the “For Parents” drop down, Zangle Parent Connection, Registration Form. Print and complete the form and have your student deliver it to the front office. Once processed you will receive a PIN number for accessing your student’s information.
