STUDENT INFORMATION

1. NEW ROTATION starts today. All students should be in your 3rd period class and end your day with 2nd period.
2. SCHOOL RULES – Fighting, causing or attempting to cause physical injury to another person will result in a 3-5 day suspension and possible notification to the Sheriff’s Dept.
3. JERSEY DAY Wednesday, Sept. 29. Show your school spirit and wear your favorite jersey.
4. THE YOUTH ACT CLUB – Are you interested in helping our community, state and country? Do you want to help those in need and make a difference in our world? Then come join The Youth Act Club. Our first meeting will be in room D-2 during first lunch and room K-1 during second lunch on Monday, October 4th. Bring your lunch and a friend and yummy goodies will be handed out to all those who visit. Join The Youth Act Club and make your world a better place!
5. WASHINGTON DC RUMMAGE SALE – FMS students are having the sale to raise money for their Washington D.C. trip. Mark your calendar for Saturday, Oct. 2nd from 8 a.m. until noon at the District Office on Sespe Avenue. Come find treasures or if you would like to donate items, call Kathy Pace at 524-0534 for pick up.
6. ATTENDANCE COUNTS! All students with perfect attendance and no tardies during the month of September will be invited to attend a dance during the last half hour of the school day on Oct. 1st. Make sure you arrive on time to all of your classes every day.
7. DO YOU HAVE AN INTEREST in becoming a reporter or newscaster? Why wait until you grow up? Scholastic News Magazine is currently seeking student reporters. Come to Mrs. Wohlers’ room, B-1, to work on your application. This opportunity is open to students in all grades including GATE, AVID or any student with an ambition to become a reporter. Meetings will be held all this week and next week, but you don’t have to attend every meeting. We will be working on the sample articles needed for the application. The deadline for this application is Oct. 12th.

1. PARENTS ARE WELCOME to come to our school any time. Please be sure to sign in at the front office and get a visitor’s pass before going on campus.
2. WEBSITE INFO: Our Calendar of Events is posted at the Fillmore Unified School District Website at: www.fillmore.k12.ca.us Once there, you can click on Fillmore Middle School and you will find the calendar of events listed in the upper left corner. You will also find a cafeteria menu and staff email access.
