STUDENT INFORMATION
1. NEW ROTATION STARTING TODAY - All students should be in your 4th period class now.
2. SCHOOL RULES – Falsification/forging/altering school documents will result in 2 administrative detentions for the first offense.
3. CONGRATULATIONS to the following students who have won the Lions Club Peace Poster Contest: Austin Brock, Valeria Garcia, and Mariah Coats. These students have been invited to a dinner Monday, 11/2 at 7:00 p.m. at the Scout House here in Fillmore.
4. RED RIBBON WEEK/HALLOWEEN ACTIVITIES starts next week.
Tuesday, 10/27 - “Ask Me, What I’m Listening to” I-Pod during lunch
Wednesday, 10/28 - “See Me, I Support My Team” wear your favorite team’s
Jersey; Haunted House – Visit our Haunted House during
both lunches. Cost is $2.00
Thursday, 10/29 – “Be Me, I’m Cool, I’m Drug Free” Wear your Pajamas,
slippers & bring a stuffed animal; Haunted House open during
both lunches
Friday, 10/30 – Halloween Costume “Be Me, I’m a Celebrity” Dress like your favorite celebrity or wear your favorite Halloween costume to school. Masks are not allowed. Costume prize categories: Most creative, most unusual, best homemade, best animal, best celebrity female, best celebrity male, most scary, best staff costume. Haunted House during both lunches. Red Ribbon Door Contest. 1st Place: Ice Cream, 2nd Place: Popcorn, 3rd Place: Lollipops
5. ATTENTION PIRU SKATEBOARDERS - There will be a meeting Wednesday, 10/28 for skaters interested in helping design the new Piru Skate Park. It will be at the Warring Park Community center from 6:30-8pm. If you want to have a say in how your park is going to look then you need to come to this meeting. See Mr. Mac Donald if you have any questions.
6. 1sT QUARTER REPORT CARDS – We are hoping to print and mail report cards today!
7. WOULD YOU LIKE TO WIN A FREE YEARBOOK? Enter the yearbook drawing contest. Show your school spirit. Drawings should include: Our school mascot, school name and mission statement (Together we will: Think, Believe, Create, Achieve). Drawing should be on 8 ½ x 11” paper. Picture could be in black and white or in color. Picture due to Miss Beal by Oct. 23rd. Selected drawing will win a free yearbook!
PARENT INFORMATION
1. PARENT MEET & GREET is scheduled for Friday, 10/30/09 from 7:30-8:30 a.m. in room C-1.
2. PARENTS ARE WELCOME here at Fillmore Middle School. If you wish to come on our campus, please be sure to sign in at the front office and get a visitor badge. We want you and your student to have a wonderful experience here at FMS!
