STUDENT INFORMATION

1. OUR STATE TESTING takes place from Tuesday, May 4th until Friday, May 7th. Students should not bring anything to school except an AR book. Please leave all backpacks, textbooks, and electronic devices at home during testing.
2. SCHOOL RULES – Be on time to each class, every day!
3. PLEASE HELP US to reward students during testing! FMS will be having a daily raffle Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday for students who come to school. We need prizes! Please call the office at 524-6055 if you can donate to our Bulldog Testing Raffle. Thank you to Mrs. Wade and Mrs. DuBois for donating IPODS! Students, you have to be at school to win if your name is drawn.
4. NEW ROTATION STARTS on Monday, May 3rd. All students will begin the day with period 6 and end the day with period 7.
5. MINIMUM DAYS REMINDER – Next week we will be on minimum day schedule Tuesday, May 4th through Friday, May 7th. We will be administering state testing and students will be released at 12:15 p.m. each of those days.
6. BUS INFO/MINIMUM DAYS – Next week during testing days (May 4-7) busses will pick up students at 12:45 p.m. No FMS students will be allowed to ride on the high school busses.
7. SPRIRT DAYS – April 27-30 – All clothing must comply with FMS dress code policy
Friday – Get plenty of rest for the test! Wear pajamas.

9. CURRENT 7th GRADE STUDENTS – Fillmore High School is proud to offer the UC Summer Writing Academy. The goal of this summer program is to help prepare for the many facets of writing regardless of your writing skills. You will also be provided tutoring, guest presentations, field trips and activities in Literature and Music. Please pick up an application from Mrs. Wyand if you are interested. There is limited space available.

10. CURRENT 8th GRADE STUDENTS – Fillmore High School is proud to offer the Summer Academic Advancement Academy. This intensive summer program will help prepare you for high school mathematics, academic success, and successful admission to college. This is also a great opportunity to earn 5 high school credits. See Mrs. Wyand for an application if you are interested. Space is limited.
11. ARE YOU A HARD WORKER? Do you have at least a 3.0? Do you like visiting colleges and universities? AVID is now accepting applications for next year! If you are a 6th or 7th grader and are interested in applying, please pick up an application from Miss Atwood in C-2 or Mrs. Wyand in the office. Applications are due April 30th at 3:00 p.m.
12. EARTH DAY IS EVERY DAY! Use cloth diapers instead of disposable! Desiree Lopez
13. ANY STUDENT interested in the 2010 Young Writers Camp offered at a variety of neighboring colleges this summer, please see Mrs. Wyand for more information and/or an application.

PARENT INFORMATION

1. PARENT MEET & GREET takes place this morning, 4/30/10 from 7:30-8:30 a.m. Fillmore Options will be speaking about ways for our children to have healthy balanced lives.
2. OUR FMS WEBSITE is located at: www.fillmore.k12.ca.us, click on the Middle School. Our office staff and teaching staff along with email links are posted.
3. PARENTS ARE WELCOME here at Fillmore Middle School. If you wish to come on our campus, please be sure to sign in at the front office and get a visitor badge. We want you and your students to have a wonderful experience here at FMS!
