STUDENT INFORMATION

1. WASHINGTON D.C. STUDENTS – Washington Wednesday lunch meeting next week in room K-3 during 1st lunch. See the world premier DVD of our trip. Put your order in for the DVD at lunch. See you there! This lunch is only open to students who went to Washington D.C.
2. SCHOOL RULES – Students who are suspended during this quarter may be excluded from extracurricular, fun activities. We had our discipline assemblies Monday and we expect all of our FMS students to be on your best behavior so that you don’t miss out on all the great activities we have planned.
3. AUDITION CALL – FMS students, we will be having our 3rd Annual FMS Talent Show. Ms. Faulkner will direct a musical comedy number for 10-20 students to perform at the talent show on June 3rd. If you are interested in auditioning for the singing and dancing cowboy number, sign up in the Library. Auditions will be held Wed., 4/1 at 3:00 p.m. in the Library. Rehearsals will be on Wednesdays at 3:00. Y’all come now, ya here!
4. NEW ROTATION (Schedule E) starts on Monday, 3/30. We will begin with period 5 and end the day with period 4.
5. CAREER LUNCH on Tuesday, 3/31 in room J-1 during 1st lunch. Come and meet Patty Walker who is a paralegal, entrepreneur and Mayor of Fillmore. Come and find out how she manages varied occupations.
6. ATTENTION PIRU STUDENTS ONLY – If you are interested in going to CSI California Science Institute on April 20th or to a Dodger game May 3rd, please stop by the Mentor Room during lunch or after school. Tickets are free and space is limited. First come, first served!
7. 3rd QUARTER GRADES - If you are missing a grade or need a grade changed, you have until Monday, 3/30 to have a change made. All changes must be in writing from your teacher. See Mrs. Brock for all changes.
8. MARCH 27 SPRING TODAY – Get ready for our Spring Dance. Tickets are on sale during both lunches - $4 in advance, $5 at the door. The dance takes place TODAY from 5:30-8 p.m. Pizza and beverages will also be available for you to purchase. When you buy a dance ticket, your name will automatically be entered in a drawing for prizes. We will draw names for door prizes every 10 minutes. Some of the door prizes include gift certificates to the following businesses: The Skate Store, Vons, Margaret’s Cocina, Yanni’s, Central Station Bar & Grill, McDonalds, Starbucks and the movie theatre.
9. CHOCOLATE FUNDRAISER money is now due to Ms. Morielli in G-1. Thank you for your support and hard work.

PARENT INFORMATION

1. JOIN IN THE FUN and educational experience by donating time and/or plants to the FMS Rose & Butterfly Garden near J-1. Checks may be made out to FMS Science Club or contact Mrs. Merrill for further information.
2. PARENT MEET & GREET and ELAC MEETING – Our Meet & Greet takes place TODAY from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and immediately following will be our ELAC (English Learners Advisory Council) starting at 8:30 a.m. Hope to see you here!
3. ANY PARENT interested in helping with door prizes at our Spring Dance on 3/27, ASB is requesting donations of $5 gift certificates to Jamba Juice, Starbucks, Target or any other business entity that will encourage our students to attend a social event.
4. ANY PARENT who wishes to participate in our school’s newspaper by writing an interesting article or poetry, sharing a favorite recipe, or submitting photos of our school events, please contact Ms. Morielli in room G-1 or email her at: amorielli@fillmore.k12.ca.us
