STUDENT INFORMATION
1. FMS GIRLS – Applications are available for the Miss Teen Fillmore Pageant. If you are a student in good standing and turned 13 by January 1st, you are eligible to compete. Applications are available in the FMS office, at the FHS student store, the Fillmore Chamber of Commerce or by contacting Pageant Director Lori McLain at 524-4432. The mother/daughter tea is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 23rd at 6:30 p.m. at the Memorial Bldg. The first practice begins Wednesday, March 2nd.
2. SCHOOL RULES – Use of profanity or obscene language will result in administrative detention or possible suspension.
3. GIRLS BASKETBALL PLAYERS – Please turn in your uniforms and bags to Coach Alcantar by next Tuesday, 2/15/11
4. VALENTINE STUFFED HEARTS – Show your friends how much you care. Buy a friend a stuffed valentine heart. Cost is $1.00.
5. FRIENDSHIP/VALENTINE GRAMS – Show you care. Send your friends a valentine/friendship gram. Grams are on sale through today. Cost is 25 cents.
6. FRIENDSHIP/VALENTINE DANCE – Bring a friend to our valentine friendship dance TODAY, Feb. 11th. Students must have a signed parent permission slip to enter the dance. Cost in advance is $4.00. Cost at the door is $5.00.
7. 8TH GRADERS - IF YOU LOVE THE ARTS like acting, drawing or even photography then come see Mrs. Reyes-Deutsch, counselor, to find out how you can apply to go to the California State Summer School for the Arts. Deadline for applications is Friday, February 18th.
PARENT INFORMATION
1. PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – ASB is looking for parents to help chaperone the friendship/valentine dance TODAY, February 11th from 5:30-8 p.m. Please let Ms. Morielli know if you are available to help supervise our students. Thank you!
2. ZANGLE PARENT CONNECT – If you have signed up for this service but have not received your PIN number, we apologize. Unfortunately the District is working to correct the situation and hopefully you will receive your PIN number shortly. Please do not hesitate to keep calling to remind us!
3. PARENTS – SIGN UP FOR PARENT CONNECTION for Zangle. See your student’s grades, attendance, class assignments. Fill out the form at the following link and return it to the middle school office. 4. 7th-12th GRADE STUDENTS are now required to get a whooping cough immunization before starting the 2011-2012 school year. Make an appointment now for your student(s) to receive this required vaccination.
5. WEBSITE INFO: Our Calendar of Events is posted at the Fillmore Unified School District Website at: www.fillmore.k12.ca.us Once there, you can click on Fillmore Middle School and you will find the calendar of events listed in the upper left corner. You will also find a cafeteria menu and staff email access.
