STUDENT INFORMATION

1. YOUTH ACT CLUB will meet today in room K-1 during 2nd lunch to continue working on our cards for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Come and make a difference in our world.
2. SCHOOL RULES – Possession of any firearm, knife, explosive or other dangerous object will result in a 5-day suspension and expulsion recommendation.
3. THE VENTURA ELKS LODGE is sponsoring an essay contest and the theme is “Why I Am Proud to Pledge Allegiance to Our Flag”. The essay should not exceed 250 words and must be typed or legibly printed in ink. The student entering the contest must submit the entry on or before January 10, 2012. All teachers have received a copy of the contest information. Ask your teacher for full details or pick up a flyer in the front office. There are prizes for 1st through 3rd place which include a $1000, $500, or $250 US savings bonds! Practice your writing skills and enter the contest!
4. TOY DRIVE – Show your school spirit and help the needy this holiday season. Bring a new, unwrapped toy to your 1st period class. Help show that FMS has the holiday spirit!
5. MARK YOUR CALENDARS – Winter break runs Monday, December 19 through Tuesday, January 3, 2012. Students return to school on Wednesday, January 4, 2012.

PARENT INFORMATION

1. PARENTS – SIGN UP FOR PARENT CONNECTION for Zangle. See your student’s grades, attendance, class assignments. You may access the required form at our website: www.fillmore.k12.ca.us Click on the “For Parents” drop down, Zangle Parent Connection, Registration Form. Print and complete the form and have your student deliver it to the front office. Once processed you will receive a PIN number for accessing your student’s information.
