It is with heavy hearts that we announce our beloved sister and friend went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2026. Eva was 56 years old and born on October 25, 1969, in Mexico to Luis and Rosario Sanchez and came to the U.S. when she was very young. She was a 1988 graduate of Fillmore High School.
Eva loved a variety of foods, her dog and spending time with family and friends. She loved to shop and enjoyed spoiling her dog “Little Bear” and attending her church, Higher Vision of Santa Paula.
Rebekah Golson would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at VCMC, caretaker Davita of Santa Paula, and many others who helped take care of Eva through her many illnesses.
Another very big thank you to Maria Barragan who helped collect and raise money to pay for the services. Also the many brothers and sisters from HVSP and her Sanchez cousins who helped with rummage sale, boxes and cleaning out her apartment--I couldn’t do any of these tasks without each of them.
Eva is preceded in death by her parents Luis and Rosario Sanchez and brother Juan Sanchez. She is survived by her three children, Jesse, Alex and Diana Sanchez, all of Fillmore; sister Alicia of Mexico, and her grandchildren as well as many friends and other family members. A Celebration of Life will be held at Higher Vision Church, 501 Ojai Road, Santa Paula on Friday, September 4th at 11am. We are asking that you wear any shade of blue to honor her memory and her favorite color.
