Elvira Carrillo (1933-2015)

Elvira Carrillo, 82, returned to her heavenly Father on November 6, 2015 after a struggle with a heart condition. Elvira’s devotion to her family and her faith in God guided her through her journey to a peaceful rest.
Elvira was born in Zacatecas Mexico on October 23, 1933. She left Mexico as a young girl to make a better life in the United States. She lived and worked in the Oakland, CA area for several years, often visiting family in Fillmore. It was during one of those visits that she met her future husband, Pete Carrillo.

Elvira was a devoted mother and a homemaker throughout their 54 years of marriage. She enjoyed tending to her plants, baking, preparing family meals. Elvira was a long-time supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital to which she donated annually.
