Elizabeth (Betty) Lee Logan

Elizabeth (Betty) Lee Logan of Annapolis died July 16 at John Hopkins Hospital.
Betty was born on September 15, 1922, in Chehalis, Washington, to Maude and Edwin Furbush.
She graduated from Fillmore High School (Class of 1940) and attended University California, Berkeley for several years until the advent of WWII when she left to work in support of the war.
She was a Navy wife who took great pride in meeting any challenge that crossed her path. During her husband's post-Navy career with the U. S. Agency for International Development, she relished being a diplomat's wife and experiencing the adventures of living in foreign countries. She made life-long friends in France, the Philippines, and Indonesia, to name a few.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Logan, whom she married in 1947 and her grandson, John Wesley Logan, III.
Surviving are her children, Tracey Lee Logan of St. Mary's County, MD, John Wesley Logan, Jr. of Wilton, CT and Michelle Logan Mazanec of Arnold, MD and two grandchildren, Logan and Warren Mazanec, Jr.
A memorial Service was held on July 26 in St. Andrew's Chapel, USNA, Annapolis.
