When her husband passed away in 1967 she stayed at home and dedicated her life to raising her family. Elisa was a good cook and used to make her own cheese and bread at home. She liked the outdoors and enjoyed trips to Lake Piru and to the beach. She had an appreciation for nature and liked gardening and taking walks. Elisa loved shopping and was always ready for an outing to any store. Elisa was happiest when family came to visit and gather in her home.
