Edward Ray Villagomez (October 1971 – July 2026)

With broken hearts we share that Edward Ray Villagomez husband, dad, son and brother entered the gates of heaven on July 15th, 2026, at the age of 54. Edward aka Eddie Ray aka Wero aka Giz was born in Santa Paula where he lived until moving to Fillmore in 1979, before settling in Bakersfield in 2021. Edward had many interests including listening to music and playing his collection of vinyl records. Edward enjoyed fishing at the beach or in the Eastern Sierras specifically Bridgeport, Ca where he bonded with his girls teaching them how to fish and creating so many good memories. Edward was recently blessed with winning his dream car a 1962 Chevy Impala, man he loved that car. It’s not fair that he didn’t get to take his car for a cruise in his hometown with his family and friends that he so badly wanted to share it with. He was lucky to have a large loving extended family resulting in tons of parties, creating memories for all of us to hold on to. He had a big smile with an infectious laugh and a drink in his hand. Edward was an employee of PepsiCo for the last 20 years, where he was routinely acknowledged for his hard work and dedication. During his time with Pepsi he was a merchandiser, a Sales Rep and most recently a driver. Edward leaves behind his wife and high school sweetheart Anna, his three children DeAnna (Armando), Mia (Albert) and Eddie. His grandchildren Esther and Abel. His mom Alice and siblings Ricky, Liz, Reynaldo (Boy) and Rocky, 13 nieces and nephews and not to forget his Tia’s, Uncles and many many cousins. A celebration of Life is being held on Saturday, August 1st at Faith Community Church at 1pm in Fillmore Ca with a reception to follow.
