AfghanistanHere is yet another indication of how foolish and wrongheaded American foreign policy is, how much it is based on false premises, and how it is doomed to failure after failure until it is either thoroughly overhauled or heads this nation into irreversible catastrophe. The poppy finances the global jihad. The people who were being paid to stop the poppy cultivation were aware of that. Many of them were also sympathetic to the global jihad. Thus they were happy to take the Infidels’ money, but were never going to make any serious effort to stop the poppy cultivation.
