Computer trouble has cut my time again. Just a brief comment on Kelly Scoles’ letter.
Hi Kelly. One issue that often confronts me when answering liberal letters to the editor is a lack of clarity, for example contradictions. I saw several such stumbling blocks this week. Take for example a failure to understand that we are debating from two distinct points of view, Christian and agnostic.
You say, “life is a gift.” True enough. If so, who is the Giver? Also, it is supremely unique, not “shared” in any meaningful way with rocks.
Kelly, I have run out of time but would like to answer your letter next week because it contains so many essential questions. My apologies because I only had a few minutes.
Thanks for writing; see you next week.
