Realities

A response to Kelly Scoles’ letter.
Hello again Kelly,
I’m surprised reading this week’s complaint about the “editor can select the number of topics in a LTTE (LETTER TO EDITOR).”
Kelly, this is a fundamental editing job. Otherwise, havoc rules. It is necessary for me to decide what topics are debated and the scope of debate. You say, “If the Editor can select the number of topics in a LTTE, as well as the actual subject, the LTTE becomes an “assignment” for me those days are over.” For me, those days are over. There is no need for me to discuss the Cuba situation this week, as you cherry-picked it thoroughly in last week’s deflective and diversionary non-response.
Frankly, Kelly, I am bored to death with non-stop potshots at Trump. We are in a war, that captures my attention most of all. Letters to the Gazette have been given the widest possible freedom over the years. You may continue to write on issues that interest you, but they may not be of interest to the editor. Your first paragraph is ambiguous. Please clarify.
Thanks.
