A response to Kelly Scoles’s letter.
Hi again, Kelly,
About my “Outcome Test”…
I think it’s pretty much agreed that everything has an outcome. A book has a beginning, middle and end, also a play has a denouement where we find out what happened. My famous outcome test should clearly apply in the case of the US v. Iran war. You say “…I cannot tell the difference between success and failure in Iran in your mind Martin”. I’m glad that success has never depended on “my mind”, Kelly. What will “success” in Iran look like to you? You ask, “Are there any means that Trump may choose to employ that would offend your conscience? I ask because this administration has done many that offend my conscience.”
You mention several things you require to validate my “outcome test” for Trump policies. You say the first requirement is for the end to justify the means. It (policy) must be legitimate and lawful, clearly identified and just” like Putin claims. Have you examined your own conscience, Kelly? Democratic Policies clearly betray your own standards, pretending to be mostly lawful, clearly identified, and just. But your definitions are false. Let’s start with the greatest moral issues. How about the abortion of innocent children who are unique, eternal souls created in the “image and likeness of God”? How about radical Democrat plans to clone headless humans for spare parts? None of your complaints about Trump’s policies begin to shock the conscience more than these two abominations. You ask, “What will success look like to [me] in Iran.” That’s easy – Iran free from threatening the world with nuclear weapons. Another, saving the world from monetary collapse by opening the Strait of Hormuz.
Have you examined your conscience, Kelly?
