Goodbye our friend

Rigo Linderos, a Man For All Seasons.

I knew him for most of the 28 years I have lived in Fillmore. I saw him almost every day during his duties as our Fire Chief, when he stopped by the office to say hello or to deliver a request.

No matter how heartfelt our attempts to recognize Rigo's importance to the community, we must fail. He was such an integral part of Fillmore that it requires us to pause and reflect on the scope of his contributions, not only as Fire Chief but as a critical influence on city government and a major volunteer for many charitable causes. Rigo was one-of-a-kind. His heart was in his work. He brought order from confusion and goodwill in times of conflict.

He was always there with a warm greeting and a helping hand in good times and in bad. He will be remembered by thousands as Fillmore's Man For All Seasons. I will miss him as a true friend.

Rest in peace Rigo. Thank you for giving so much of your life to assist others.
